The closest way to get on to the Brampton valley way footpath close to the tunnel is located about 1/4 of a mile from Great Oxendon it's self on the right hand side if you were going towards market Harborough from Northampton.There is a big white house with a small gravel track down the side of it, this leads you on to a small area for parking, this is Brampton valley way. You are now about 1/2 a mile away from the tunnel entrance on this side.
The second closest way to get on to the Brampton valley way is near Protheros Volkswagen garage in Market Harborough. If you were heading from Northampton towards Market Harborough town centre, you would need to take a right hand turn just after the Volkswagen garage on to Scotland lane.The Brampton valley way entrance can be found just after you have turned right, a few meters just inside Scotland lane. you are now 1.7 miles away from the tunnel entrance on this side.
